Romanian death certificate
with or without apostille
and International death certificat
from Romania
for people died in Romania
Our law firm can help you obtain the death certificate of your family members from Romania,
without having to travel to Romania and without having to provide us with a notarized power of attorney.
It is sufficient for you to conclude a legal assistance contract with us, which we will send to you.
For people who died in Romania, we can obtain two types of death documents:
"Duplicate of death certificate" from Romania
A "Duplicate of death certificate" from Romania can be requested if you no longer have such a document or if you want the document in a new, current format. If needed, we can also require an apostille on these death certificates.
"International death certificate" from Romania
International death certificates from Romania are officially called “Multilingual Extracts from the Death Record”.The International Death Certificates from Romania are the equivalent of the so-called "Certified Copy of an Entry (Death Certificate)" or "Certified Death Certificate".
Unlike the duplicate of death certificate, which can only be issued in one copy, the "International Birth Certificate" can be required in any number of copies.
For the legal assistance contract that you must conclude with us, we need:
- a copy of your identity card
- a copy of the old death certificate (case available)
- proof of name change (if first or last name was changed).
- proof of relationship with the deceased person.
- this form on our website,
- this email,
- or by mail.
- the signed legal assistance contract
- receipt of the agreed payment
The death certificate from Romania will be sent to you by registered mail with return receipt or by express delivery services upon request.
Remarks:
- Birth certificates can only be required and obtained for persons who are alive.
- The legal assistance contract must be concluded directly with the person concerned.
- If you require documents relating to your parents or grandparents, we cannot obtain original birth certificates,
but if you can prove that you are a descendant of the persons concerned, we can still obtain certifications
on your behalf containing the details from the registry office from the place of birth of the person concerned.
