The confirmation of the authenticity of a foreign document is usually carried out by a consulate of the state in which the document is to be used. This is done by applying a so-called legalization, also a confirmation of authenticity by the consulate.
For documents from numerous countries, legalization is replaced by the so-called "Hague Apostille".
Both Germany and Romania have joined the "Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 on the Abolition of the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Documents". This means that documents from one state can be used in the legal transactions of the other state by applying a defined notice names "Hague Apostille".
Moreover, according to the Convention, certain original documents can even be used in the affiliate states without this "Hague Apostille".
We can support you concerning the need of a "Hague Apostille" on the documents you require and, if necessary, obtain the documents with a "Hague Apostille".
